BCIA APM system was put into use on February 29th, 2008, with a length of 2.08 kilometers and a total of 18 trains. The APM system adopts Bombardier’s CITYFLO550 automatic train control system and CX-100 vehicles. The vehicles can run in both directions with a maximum runningspeed of 58 Km/h, the APM system is a means of transportation, connecting the passenger flow between T3C-T3D-T3E.
On November 11th, 2019, CAH（Capital Airports Holding Company）established a consortium with CRRC Puzhen Alstom Transportation System Co., Ltd., and New United Bombardier Signalling System Co., Ltd. and won the bid, and signed a contract for the procurement and installation of BCIA APM System vehicles and supporting signalling equipment. The contract covers 9 new vehicles, and fullline signalling system (including new vehicle onboard system, wayside equipment and onboard system for 18 old vehicles), 1 set of communication system (including supporting wayside and onboard equipment for 18 old vehicles); the total contract price is RMB 243.2 million, of which CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation Systems Co., Ltd accounts for RMB 126.6 million, and New United Bombardier Signalling System Co., Ltd. accounts for RMB 116.6 million.
