PBTS Signs Another APM Project in Singapore, Southeast Asia
Recently, CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to PBTS) signed Bukit –Panjang Light RapidTransit (hereinafter referred to Bukit Panjang Project). PBTS will deliver a total of 19 cars (INNOVIA APM 300R), as well as provide train commissioning and quality assurance services, etc. Production and commissioning will be completed at PBTS Wuhu facility.
Reporters learned that INNOVIA 300R is a variant of INNOVIA 300 to be well adapted to INNOVIA 100 system.
As the turnkey project owner, Bombardier Transport Group will not only deliver vehicles, but also provide Singapore LRT with services like signal system upgrades to accommodate to stations placement.
PBTS vehicles will be running on an elevated urban rail transit loop in Bukit Panjang, Singapore. The area is densely populated. Two of the stations will be connected to Singapore Metro network.
Regarding the renovation of the existing line, the professional performance and prime products of PBTS’ parent companies repeatedly earn the trust of customers. PBTS will take this opportunity to contribute to the growth of Singapore's urban rail transit.
Recent years witness the diversified development of urban rail transit and the rising demand for medium-volume traffic system. Automatic Passenger Rapid Transit System (APM) has emerged as an inevitable requirement for the multi-level development of rail transit network. APM vehicles work for additional lines, connecting lines and supplementary lines in the backbone network of mass transit, which makes APM the preferred choice in reorganizing urban rail transit networks in newly-emerged small and medium-sized cities. .
