The Upgrading and Modification of old Trains at Beijing Capital International Airport Passes the Completion Acceptance
In the early morning of 17th January , six APM 100 modified vehicles at Beijing Capital International Airport successfully passed the completion acceptance. The upgraded APM100 vehicle uses the CITYFLO650 signal system to replace the original CITYFLO550 signal system, and use the upgraded communication system, which will provide more convenient services for passengers after the official operation.
The upgrading and modification of the signal and communication of the old vehicles in Beijing project was started on 1st July, 2021. Without previous project experience, there are many challenges in the technical and operational aspects. In this regard, the members of the project team did not flinch and faced difficulties, actively coordinated resources and overcome difficulties; During the epidemic, the after-sales team directly stationed at the site with the firm belief of solving problems and fully promoted relevant work. Through joint efforts, the team finally completed the tasks with quality and quantity.
The accumulated experience in the modification of old trains in Beijing project will have a positive reference for the modification of the following 12 trains and other APM projects of the company. At present, Beijing Capital International Airport officially operated with the new trains, and passengers can take the APM300R train produced by PATS to quickly shuttle between T3C and T3E terminal. The upgrading of vehicle, signal, communication and power monitoring systems will bring more convenience or passengers to travel and comprehensively improve the boarding experience of passengers.
